Right now, taking a Canadian route to get from Atlantic Canada to Sault Ste Marie is clear the shortest, fastest, and least hassle. Only Montreal really takes some navigation.

Down the road this is going to be even less hassle. Here's a video to show you what is planned for 'getting around/past Montreal': http://www.autoroute30.qc.ca/en/slideshow.asp?Id=61

Then, no one will have any excuses not to visit.

Enjoy.

I picked up on the link over at the big neighbors yesterday. I looked at it this morning, liked it and decided to spread the word.

I did not check the site for draft implementation plans. Shall we just say that none of the Montrealers commented on it.

I'd love it someone else had some time to do some more investigating.

I heard that there were some areas where the route was too near the holdings of some major land owners and they were raising objections which had caused a work stoppage.

From Candiac to Valleyfield the route was not near but in the middle of the best land of the St-Lawrence river, the aera is full of fresh produce farm. I dont understand why they cant choose an other place to bild the road.

That figures, nice farms making a go of it on what they can, but not organized into any big organization, as all of the small tourist sites were to speak up re. the Canada Summer Jobs fiasco recently. It's the ones with the money or the organizational clout that don't get walked on. How many times have you seen it in your lifetime?

I'm glad for the routes, but......
