Hi there Don, nice to "meet" you. The reason I posted this was to see how many of us there were and to see if anyone was interested in doing a "mini-rally" someplace close one long weekend.

Nice to meet you as well. The idea sounds great. We are still heading out this weekend (Burr) to Elk Island (winter camping). WE will probably have the place to ourselves.

Wow, that is so neat, we were just there last Sunday and even then there were a few units in there all set up by the boat launch. However, it was a LOT warmer last weekend! So, I agree, you will probably have the place to yourselves this weekend! Have you camped there in the regular campground? It was closed off so we couldn't take a look.

Jen:
Yes we have camped in the regular campground. It is very nice with several spots for larger units. The main bathroom also has showers.
And yes this past weekend we were the only ones there, snow and all. Heaters worked great and we kept warm.

Brad, I will try to find out for you. My ex-husband (our 1st time around) used to be married ( his second time around) to the Icefield Hotel Manager's sister and may be able to tell me.
Hopefully that made sense. Are you planning a trip out West?
