Fall Plans are in place. We are packing up the apartment & moving out by the middle of Oct. at the latest. Furnature going into storage for a couple of years anyway.
Have reservations made in Yuma AZ @ Cocopah RV & Golf Resort from December to April. Have tickets purchased for me & 'Wiser Half' to fly back home for Christmas with the family. (3 Weeks) Down to Florida to visit my brother-in-law until after the US Thanksgiving & then on to Yuma.
Now all I have left to do is replace the shocks on the 5ver & wait for Nov. 1st. Looking forward to the trip & the golfing. I keep putting off my golf outings so now I should have very little excuses being on the course. My trailer will be facing the 3rd fairway. A couple of friends are also staying at the Resort so we are looking forward to a great winter.
Just thought I would let everyone know.

And after November when it begins to get colder and colder up here we will all start wishing we were going south to the warmer climes. Az, Yuma, Florida begin to look better and better as it gets colder and colder.

My Fall Plans are in place as well. Finish cutting, splitting, stacking my firewood..(Am I the only one still burning wood???? ) preparing the yard for winter and probably winterize the 5er in Mid October.
If I manage to flog my house this fall...all that wood will be for sale. $$$$$$

2Roadrunners is doing likewise but is just back from the metropolis and being retired, no longer used to city driving. Thus, doing manual labour to get the city ....... out .....

Fall plans.......Frost last night. Spent last weekend in Vermont. Have been in the woods since then cutting and hauling wood for next year. This year's wood is cut, split and stacked and the stove is fired up already. (Seems to me that it is still warm from last May. Tempus does fugit). Gathering deer apples, gathering nuts and have ideas about a few nights booning in Charlevoix where I found some super hideouts. The pink stuff goes in soon!

Hey Jim, been awhile. A great time of year...no bugs, cooler and a different agenda of chores to tackle. I love the constant heat of the wood stove, but am getting to the age where flipping the furnace switch, is a welcome thought.

No sooner did I make a post in a thread somewhere about summer being over and not having to worry about drop ins, stay overs, parkers, and guests hanging off the deck...the herd starts to roll in Thursday to Sat..another group comes thru Sunday to tuesday(although he is a mechanic and well versed in RV know how) and a camping group is having a rally nearby.....so there goes the firewood split/stack/storage and aching muscles for a few days..I wonder how many would show up if I was to say,,,,great you can help me split wood all week..

Now, didn't I tell you say just that before this.
You must have some good patio, some good beer, and some good food for ALL!!
Either that or the sun always shines on your smile.
Hmm, I wonder if I could enough time off at Thanksgiving to check out your hospitality. Or are you already booked

Remember, good wood heats four times....When you cut it, when you split it, when you stack it and when you burn it.
