Well Spring has officially "sprung". In our region of the country, "the winter that wasn't" has finally left. Forcast today is and 50+ C. Absolutely fantastic. The Robins are back (two weeks now) I even saw GoldFish in my pond yesterday.
Whats happening in your area?

Brad, almost, not quite. In my 23rd spring here, I am very suspicious about counting my spring flowers until they arrive, especially before March 31.

Have a look here: Other NL webcams especially for the ones in St. John's. Right now, only a portion of this island is getting whacked with Sheila's Brush. So far, we haven't had her come around for a visit. I looked on the way to work today. The houses on the western side of the streets (which get the morning sun) are not ahead of those on the eastern side of the streets. Spring is coming, but not fully here yet.

Next week...................

maybe.
p.s. the Minister of Transportation and Works was on air this morning talking about road contracts again. A good sign!

Little Kopit.....Looks like spring is delayed in NL. On the west coast news they are talking about a major snow storm on the Rock today!

349, not me, I'm a west coaster. That's thesoutheast of the island. 8 hours from here @ 100 clicks. Although it's only 1387 km round trip. They take 12 hours to do it from Port aux Basques - one more stop!!

But you're right. I ain't countin' on no big melt 'til March 'as gone by.

To be sure this year, I'se hoping the snow'll be gone by May.

Translated, I only dug one corridor this weekend to help the melt along. & I just don't trust it until April 1. After that I'll take my chances and say something.

Brad, 50 + C ???? That is pretty hot!!!! Wow, I am envious! We are about plus 4 C. The snow is starting to melt. ( I am sure you meant to say 50 degrees F, but my eyes did bug out for a brief second, ha ha!)
