Middle of May. Going down to Crows Nest pass for a week or so to go quading. 2nd Trip will be Mid June through July up the Alaska Highway into the Yukon and down the Cassiar highway in Northern BC. I can't go out untill mid May because the Volvo won't be done untill then. The May trip will be a shake down run for New truck and trailer
Cheers
Bear

Please tell us about the Crows Nest trip here, after, eh!!

& AK is on my agenda, planned for 09. The plan is to go early, very early, be there by May 1. I'm think of going north via the Yukon and south via the Cassiar.

Our first trip out will probably be to Algonquin, just to blow out the cob webs. Last April's trip to Mew Lake in Algonquin Park, we had snow in our campsite. Camping early, you avoid the "skitters" and other "bugs"

First trip..done.........Gaspé Peninsula. Next (scheduled) one Apr. 12 >>> Portsmouth, Va. but anything could happen between now and then. It was included in my retirment plan..if you want to light a shuck*, don't forget to let the kids know.

* Old cowboy term used in the late 1800's meaning to take off to someplace. ''He got his time and up and lit a shuck for Witchita''

And a good plan it is Jim. I want to light a shuck, but the wife has me tied down with her work. For now I will remain "shuckless"

P.S. Rain here today, +16C, awaken by a thunderstorm..of all things, gas 85.9/L.....least were not in southern California or Arizona where they got snow and ice pellets. Hehehehe!

Because of work commitments, our first trip won't start until April 20 when we head for the Escapees Spring Escapade in Chico, CA. However, I am compensated by the knowledge that I will not be returning to "The Trailer" until November.

If you want to follow our travels go to RV Lifestyle and "click" on 2006 Travels.

Just finished it yesterday.

From Victoria to Port Hardy and return on Vancouver Island during the kids spring break.

Had to test out the new beheamoth. Saw all types of weather including 4 inches of snow. After a couple of days of that we bolted southbound for a park with a Hottub.

Hello Kid, A good time to do a shake-down run. Less traffic, different weather conditions (good for checking leaks) and BEST of all...a FAMILY outing...with NO bugs.

Congrats on the new rig!....Brad
