Okay, our plans now are to head north to Canada and Alaska next summer. We want to do a little fishing up while we are up there. We have medium and light spinning equipment. Generally I keep 2# test on the light and 10# test on the medium. Our problem is we have no idea of the type of fish we will run into in Yukon Territory and Alaska, nor what type of lures they like. Can someone help me out here. What would you suggest in the way of lures and or bait? We use to fish Quebec quite a bit and up there we would catch northern pike and walleye generally on yellow jigs and red and white Daredevil spoons.
Any good fishing info you can pass on would be much appreciated. If you have a special place along the Campbell or Top of the World Hwy or anywhere in Alaska for fishing and don't want to broadcast it please send me a private reply.
We will most likely only buy tags in Alaska and Yukon Territory, and possibly British Columbia.
Thanks for the help.

Northern Pike,Salmon,Lakers all would need heavier lines and tackle.Never fished in the Yukon but I heard Teslin is awesome.I'm sure you will find out more info doing some research on the net.
