Canada to U.S.
I have found it harder getting back home than going into Canada.
US Customs will enter your rig and remove all meat products you may have in refer. If you have pets their food also. This was thru Calis, Maine. Would do shopping in Maine after crossing. The link will explain more.
Have a safe trip and stay warm.

When we came back from Alaska and entered through Washington we learned that citrus fruits (lemons) were not allowed. The one that really surprised me was when the inspector went through the refrigerator and objected to a clove of garlic!

I guess we can't be too careful. Just like importing drugs from Canada--you Canadians apparently are dying left and right from all the bad drugs being foisted on you!

Ham is okay to take with you we have and told them we had it, no problems. Also pork chops and bacon. They did confiscate eggs on us at the border from Canada to Montana once, though usually they never ask about eggs.

Bring your Molsons but you'll have to declare and pay duty on any quantity over 1 case per adult.

Thanx for the very timely discussion. We are planning on going to Calgary for the Stampede in July. We will enter via Montana and will come home via Vancouver, Seattle. I need to be prepared for crossing into Canada and then back to the USA. We also have our dog, any special precautions entering or returning?

Your favorite Molson product is Ok but must remain untouched and unopened until you get to me in Florida. At that point it will be inspected and most likely confiscated and disposed of properly.

When we crossed the border at Windsor/Detroit in mid October,we were careful not to have beef or chicken in our refrigerator, but the Customs Officer did take our eggs....That was not nearly as upsetting as the damage to our motorhome at a Flying J in Walton,Ky....Yikes!
