I was just cruisin another site I go to (won't say which) and they said a US census report stated, "11,000 people PER DAY turn 50 in the USA!!! WOW!! I wonder what the rate is here in Canada, 1000/day??? That means a lot of future RVers. I gues I should be able to sell my used RV okay when the time comes, LOL. A study done in Michigan by the RVA said there are currently 7 MILLION house holds that have an RV and that by 2010 (5 years) it is expected to reach 8 MILLION. They also said that 2005 will be the 1st year that deisel MH production will out pace gassers. I just thought these were interesting stats.

You make it sound like RVing is a disease that comes with age, right along with senile-dementia! :-)

When we bought our first RV 35 years ago, we were somewhat more motivated by diaper-changing convenience, along with dealing with the inevitable "I gotta go pee!" syndrome. :-)

Interesting stats Novi, thats a lot of RVer's.
I also agree with you Stan. Years ago with our first child, my job was to crawl out of the soft top T/T in the night, regardless of weather, to plug the bottle warmer into the car cigarette lighter.LOL

In a previous post Stan you mentioned you had to be home from your trip, for the birth of your grand child? You still on the road? did you get a grand child?

Yeah I know about the pop up tent trailer with kids in tow, we did that for years also. Inspite of the hard ships endured we loved it and would not have traded the experience for anything. But it sure is easier, albeit more expensive now thought.

I think Stan may be right, RVing is an affliction that gets worse with age. You get a taste of it when you are young and by 50 it is a full addiction. Something you just gotta have/do. Just as I was finishing this post I saw Stan is from New Market, I will be there this weekend, at the park, we are one of the vendors.

All three of our sons were camping with us at six weeks old. Today they all have a love of the outdoors, and are all involved in camping, hiking to some degree. Just wish they'd get their gear out of my garage..LOL
...Be cool if you met each other
