snowing in Victoria, I always enjoyed it. I always wanted it to happen once a year - at least.

everything ground to a halt, nobody cared, schools closed - the kids liked that. But, everyone just took the time to relax. it really is a funny thing, but some of us looked forward to "snow days".

then next week, spring will start. February bloom counts, shorts and t-shirts will be back. The only problem with winter in Victoria, is that you have to wear socks with the birkenstocks. Apparently, wool socks are not appropriate (so I found out).

All my emails have been sent to the snowbound, they have heckled back with pictures of them sitting in the hottub at a campground last weekend.

I miss Van Isle.

where abouts on the island have you been? how often do you get out and about? the inquiring minds of those that no longer have the long RV season that we used to have want to know. (its kinda like a crack pipe, hooked on RV'n on the island)

Snow storms and snow days...just natures way of reminding Van-ites, how the rest of Canada lives during winter.. You must be noticing a drastic change now Kid.!!

I have only been Van Isle, BC, twice with most time spent in the Nanimo area.

One good thing about your location now though, is your a short distance from NL, every bit as scenic as BC although MUCH cooler.
