Just stay in the A/C when it is hot and humid, do my work and gardening in the Am and evening. I love the heat because everyone goes to the local beach then I go down in the morning and dig it up. Found a really nice mens 14K white gold ring yesterday. Usually I just find coins. My brother found 2 very nice watches last week. Yeah ! I like the HOTweather, looks like it might be a great summer for detecting.

Sounds like a good Hobby Novi..so then you have a huge yard sale? I actually prefer it a bit cooler to do the things I like to do.... I can make a couple bucks at it too......

Cutting firewood, in summer. Fall, Brad, fall!!!!

Actually, I think anyone from Ontario east will have a break from the heat.

Dennis is still recognizable in this satellite photo. 07/12 7:15 UTC last change as I post. I'm +3.5 GMT or 09:10 GMT/UTC.

This should give you a break. We still have Cindy's leavings around here.

Actually Kop, I cut now(should be earlier in spring), let it dry, and burn in the fall. By rights it should actually be cut in the fall and let dry for the next fall, but I don't have the storage area to keep it. I cut(from logs) and split BY HAND six cord per year. I don't use that much, but thats the smallest log order I can get delivered...besides that, it keeps me in shape.

Brad, I thought maybe you had a cutting permit. People in my neighborhood can get cutting permits and bring home with snowmobile and sled

I'm lousy with an axe in hand. That's not a skill I learned as a kid. I've done it. I manage to cut bean poles and tomato stakes with an axle, but it's lots faster with a pruning saw.

But is it cooler?

In shape? Or in health?

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">In shape? Or in health?

</div></BLOCKQUOTE> Good question LK. I guess one dosen't really have to do with the other, all though we usually associate it that way. How about.....makes me feel better to be more active. LOL We can all be in Good Shape, but too much of this will harm our health.

Hmm, love that graphic. Now, I've got to figure out how to attach it elsewhere.

I'm never satisfied with the way it is. Right now I wish it was a bit cooler but I'm glad it's hot because I do metal detecting by November it's too cool I'll want some of this heat back so by Jan I'll go south to get some. By April it's too hot down south so I come back here and it starts over again. At least the spring and fall are nice.

I'm glad someone else is doing wood, now I feel a bit less alone. Cut wood in the fall, bring it in during the summer and burn it a year later. Cut 24 cord last year, split 16 of it by hand, love to split wood. After woods plitting, the X-C ski season starts and we have maybe two dozen ski centers around here, so the splitting helps out a lot for the upper body stuff.

Kopit,...a few of my skiing buddies were in NL last winter for the Canadian Masters Championships...

I tell folks, "You griped all winter because of the cold....well, you griped too hard and now you got more than you bargained for".
