Over at our friendly neighbors, rv.net, there is a request from Aussies who want to tour this country. Help with Canada trip

I've put in my $0.05. You all might want to add your $0.05, too.

Sure you can.

You can toot the horn for your neck of the woods, just as I've done for this part of the world, sort of.

They can only take in so much at anyone post.

Besides which, when they posted in Beginning RVing one L.K. suggested they go post in RVing in C & AK where lots hang out........meanwhile this is the weekend and I know of 3 mods. and exmods who are camping this weekend.......sigh!!!

?

-Thanks for the heads-up LK, I too added my 21/2 cents worth. People not familiar with north america do not realize just how huge it is. A friend of mine had relatives over from England, he took them on a 5 day excurion of lower Ontario, they were utterly bewildered, they had never gone on so long a car trip, and they never left the lower province. When you come from smaller countries you can't imagine how big Canada or the USA is.

Yes Canada is BIG! I remember in Europe traveling aboard a VW Peace 'n Love that we had breakfast at my daughter's at Lahr, Ger., lunch at Ribeauvillé, Fr. amd supper at Berne, Switz.

Now LK asked me to to my horn. With all due respects to the folks in Ontario, I know almost or absolutely nothing of anything west of the Richelieu River (which is east of Montréal) but I have found Sault-Ste-Marie, Sarnia and Ipperwash and also the Rt. 7. The eastern shores of Lake Huron are really really neat.

This is a very objective view here.....my favourites around here:

Lévis, across from Québec City, the Rt.132 all the way to the end, and spend a day at Forillon Park. Tour the Gaspé Peninsula and return by the Matapedia Valley (this has taken me ten days to do, but then that's retirement). Head west on the Rt. 132 to Rivière-du-Loup and take the ferry to St-Siméon on the north shore of the St. Lawrence. Turn right and do the loop around the Saguenay Fjord.to Chicoutimi, now Saguenay, and along this route, do not look for shops and tourst traps, look for beauty. The most beautiful village is Ste-Rose-du-Nord on the eastern side of the Saguenay River. Return to Québec by the Rt. 138, but at Malbaie tur nleft to Pointe-au-Pic and follow the road to Baie-St-Paul instead of the 138. Stop over at the Île-aux-Coudres. Return to Q-City.

This is a favourite run bar none. For info on free legal and almost legal overnights, send me a PM.....

There you go LK.........

Yo Road, an IRV2 member, who is not a member of rv.net. Hmm, I shall have to post the link to this thread over there, rather than speak for you.
