Yep, Saturday was the driest day. I had to work. Monday was the worst. Snow north of me. Power failures from ice storms up the Northern Peninsula. Snow melted first in Labrador.

I went out once on Monday. The wind chill was below freezing. & It was still raining.

But right now it is

Ah, but dontcha know that when you grow your own, you pick when they are how you like it!!!! Especially peas, peas picked commercially are old and tough. Peas cooked just right are still bright green. & oh, the taste. You can't buy peas they way they taste when you grow and pick just right.

You can't buy summer squash ....

Are you into sizzle server meals, yet?

Onion, pepper, carrot, zucchini, mushroom. Dice to 1/2"-1" size. put a wee bit of olive oil in a bowl, toss to cover all. A wee bit of olive oil on your oval cast iron sizzle server pan. Fingers spread more easily and thingly than a brush, IMO. Top with 10 or so diced pieces of tomato. 18-20 minutes @ 350 in the middle of your oven. 1 sizzle server per person.

Regardless whether I grow it myself or when I pick it....its still "green". Never liked anything green.....and squash..

Your sizzler does sound good, minus the zucchini, maybe nice served over a bed of stir fried rice.. ....

No rice, chicken yes. Zucchini works. One little one between and DW and you. but the chicken chunks would have to be steamed or something elsewhere.

Get yuppy. Try it.
