Hi Brad, we are off to Sebing Florida, leave in January after the grandson's birthday. I usually only have the MH winterized for about 1 month then we go south until mid April. Your right about winterizing giving peace of mind if only for the month needed, saves the inconvience of breaking something costly. Do you stay home?

Novi, I would love to go south for a couple months. Unfortunatly the wife thinks her company won't run without her. Imagine not wanting to head south???? I keep telling her she can stay here toss logs into the fire, and I header for a few months. Hey.....maybe she's trying to tell me somthing........

Yes, like Brad and you others I would enjoy spending the winter without a shovel, but my wife insists that I cross-country ski, snowshoe and cut firewood........
And if you believe that, I'll tell you another!
Last year she wanted to go south, so we went to South Burlington, Vt. I recovered just in time to take down my winter garage. Some people just have no sense of humour...
-3? this morning.

Just because it is winterized doesn't mean you still can't use it to camp with! Bring water jugs for use in washing hands and midnight bathroom trips. For day use, the Provincial Parks we will use still have operating bathrooms, showers etc. so that really isn't roughing it that bad!
Mike.

Hello Mike: While your reply is certainly valid, had I known the weather would be this great, I would have not winterized at all. I was prepared for the weather to get..wintery...so I put my tonneu cover( heavy fiberglass) on the truck, winterized, and concluded this would be the end of the season for me. May be next year we'll try to hold out a little longer?

Well, Brad, I can't say our weather this fall has been so great. Not one rain free weekend from Labour Day Weekend until this past weekend, and even then we had cloud for the day I was taking a touring soul up to Gros Morne.
& now work will keep me from going out on longer weekend.
Is this justice or just life?
?

Sorry 'bout the weather there LK. Yesterday was 17C, sunny...today around 15C cloudy. Just like spring here. Oh! Gas down to .80/L.

haven't "winterized" the bigfoot yet.
hoping to get one more trip in next week.
but we will continue to camp right thru the winter even after winterizing.
we just use 5 gal water jugs for drinking water and place a portable toilet on a rubber mat in the camper shower stall.
even at minus 30 this system has worked well for us.
