How low were the temperatures when you had to plug in? Where were you in Nova Scotia.

It's been down as low as -33'C/-27'F with this truck, 2000 Tundra and I haven't had a problem. I think I had once that I couldn't start the 1989 compact Toyota 1/2 ton. I think our wheels are getting better at dealing with this. Where I am now the winters are quite a bit colder than I remember hearing about in Nova Scotia.

Well Folks... the Mad rush is over for another year. Seems sad all the preperation, shopping, running around etc. is over in such a short time. This is the second year we've given all the hustle and bustle up. Shopping for a seven month grand son dosen't take much time or effort. Give our three sons and their wives..cash,..and the shopping is done. Since we've decided to leave the mad dash behind, it is surprising just how much we enjoy the time with family. The slower pace certainly suits us much better.
Well, I hope everyone enjoyed their day, however you chose to celebrate, I hope your up coming new year is filled with peace, joy and happiness.......Brad

Little Kopit,

We plugged in when it got around 20F and below. We brought in our battery. At the time we drove a vw bug and a TC Rover; the Rover was especially hard to start even when plugged in.

When living in NS, I spent a few days in Newfoundland while on an oceanographic cruise...we want to get back there...so interesting.

Hemi, when I lived in Sudbury and outside Sudbury, I didn't worry about plugging in until the temperatures were 0'F or below. When I lived outside Sudbury, there were times of -44'C overnight.

But to put temptation your way here are some nice photo albums: Diann of RobandDi ,
& Clattertruck's photos

Both albums include photos from more than this province, including some from your old stomping grounds.

Newfoundland, yes, you put the temptation in our mind.

Your pictures and albums are great. Besides camping and visiting some unique area we also have another thing in commone with you: we drive a truck camper (Bigfoot, made in Canada of course):

I will be visiting your album several times.

Hemi, if you go over to http://www.rv.net/forum/
, click on advanced search, and put Clattertruck in the "message author" frame you will see that Clattertruck, whose TC that is, posts moderately often.

I like sharing photos done by individuals who have visited and enjoyed this province.

BTW just guess how Clattertruck made his living prior to retirement!!!

Hemi... a trip to NL can only be the "icing" on the cake. If all goes well this summer, I'll be heading back myself...

Brad, is a trip to this NL Christmas in July?

BTW, you've never shared your own pictures of this place.

Well Lynne, I do think It is the best province in Canada. Pictures.....dozens and dozens of them... all on CD now. Maybe I'll get around to posting some.

Newfoundland,

Thanks for clarifying the album author; really great images.
brad03ca, it will probably be 2008 before we make it to Newfoundland....
