Howdy! I had heard from someone once that there was a campground in Mississuaga. It might have been run by the city? Does anyone know of this campground?
Thanks.

Hello Lynnvt...There is a Provincial Park between Miss. and Burlington here
Although it's relatively close to my home, I've never been there. Several people I have spoke with like the park and its proximity to T.O.
You may find something suitable here aswell... Here

There is a large private one just off the 401 at Milton...called Milton Heights IIRC but it will be listed in any camping directory. I recall it being quite nice but pricey however we were in the area for a wedding and it was very convenient...and oddly quiet too considering the semi-urban environs

I thought I remembered that another irv2 member told me there was a nice campground right in Mississauga. Maybe it's gone, maybe I misunderstood, I don't know.

Hi Lynn
There are a series of posts on that "other forum" talking about Indian Line campground and they are not favorable. I guess after reading it I would not recommend it at all. Maybe stay at the KOA as they have a bus to take you to the GO train and to pick you up.

Thanks everyone for the info. Indian Line campground seems to be about 17 miles from our daughter so that might work for us. Thanks for all your help.
Bronte park looks beautiful but it's not as convenient to our events.

Hi Scotia;
There are lots of posts from many different people who have complaints about Indian Line. And unfortunately none were favourable so I would not recommend something I have never seen.
By the way Scotia, my wife is a Haloganian and I graduated from the School of Architecture on Spring Garden Road.

I have never seen any other negative posts concerning Indian Line. But someone did mention the KOA on another forum: "I stopped in at a KOA today in Milton! what the heck is that all about? NO privacy at all and big time noise from the 401."
Go figure!
