I've been looking for a provider to be able to take advantage of mobile broadband in the US without roaming. (anywhere you get a cell signal you get internet) I have not been successful as I don't have a US address or a way for them to do a credit check on me, $400.00 deposit required. I recently have found a company (Millenicom) which does offer a service. I buy the aircard from them $ 100.00) or you can supply your own as long as it is approved for their service. You then get 5GB per month for $59.99 or unlimited for $69.99. You can cancel at any time say after 5 months and then reactivate next year for $ 19.99.
I know I'm not the only one trying to get mobile broadband so I posted this for information as well, is there anyone else who is using this service and if so comments please (before I sign up) or does anyone else have a better solution??
Thanks

sure hope someone answers you! I would like the same type info. I do have a verizon cell phone and account. I got it 5 yrs ago, but I do have a US SS#, but still needed to put a $250.00 deposit down for a yr.(no US credit history in yrs.) I got it back as a credit on the billing..I will look up that company and do the research. I am stationary for the 5 months and have been using the local phone and internet company in Quartzsite. Our cell signal is all bars, so I will check out verizon also..thanks for posting this company name.. Dona

Cricket is another carrier that says there is no contract but the coverage is iffy where we go in South Carolina ...I'm going to check them out when we get down there.
Good to hear from Brad...I too have to get a full checkup this month after 6 yrs of no cigarettes....finally gave in to the blood pressure pills! Thus can't get away until early Nov assuming all goes well.
