Hello to all, tomorrow we head to Bancroft Ontario for the big Rock and Gem show. We booked the campground last year. We traded in the 30'TT and have a new Open Road 5th wheel 37.6'. It should take us about 4 hours heading north, this is our real first trip. Its all loaded with food and goodies. Put in 1/2 tank fresh water(got caught last year when the tornado came thru the campground and we had no water in holding tank. CG had no hydro for 4 days.. If you are out and about and see us on the 400 or Hwy 11 or 118, give a shout, hopefully we will have enough courage to wave back.We are a little nervous, but should do well..Staying a week, so will report back after the 8th. Dona and Elvin

Enjoy your weekend Dona and Elvin. Weather is supposed to be great.<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> We are a little nervous, but should do well.. </div></BLOCKQUOTE> Once you get the "feel" of the new fiver, you'll be alright. In fact you'll find it easier than the T/T, at least I did. With a rig that size you must be staying just north of town?
Let us know how the trip went... Brad

We hqad a great trip to Bancroft. It took us almost 4 hrs. from shelburne. we did need some help backing into the space, a really nice fellow camper guided hubby in..everyone was standing around watching us!!LOL. and they all wanted to go in the new trailer to see it..One man didn't want his wife to see the inside, said it would give her "ideas" for getting a new one..It was hot hot in Bancroft. The air worked great..its a 15,000btu. Had friends from New York over on thur. night, set up the table and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. We slept really good in the king bed too. The trailer pulled way better than the travel trailer we had. No swaying, or bucking. We got 10 miles per gallon-but its all up hill, I said! The neo angle shower was a treat! No shower curtain to attack you. I think we did real good! We stayed at the Campground until tuesday, on monday we hit the lake, very shallow. Hubby took an underwater metal detector with him, and came out with 8.00 in change, and 2 old sterling silver rings..We did good at the gem show as vendors, and already booked our site for next August..
thanks for all the votes of confidence, they came in handy..our next trip will be in October, and thats back to Brenda Arizona for the pleasant winter weather and mmore gold prospecting..

Isn't this a great forum!! Dona
