It is painful here in Sarnia where some of that fuel is produced....1.02/L regular with the diesel around .95 ...On my way over the bridge to get my diesel at (US$)2.34 I saw several tankers (1203 cards tell me gasoline) heading to Mi from our refineries here....hmmmm.. What's wrong in this picture?

More pain at the gas pumps
Average U.S. retail gasoline prices have risen 20 cents to $2.55 a gallon, and demand could rise further in coming weeks as daylight savings time gives Americans more time to drive, an industry analyst says. The price of gas was the highest since September but fell well short of August's record of $3.03 a gallon, according to the nationwide Lundberg survey of about 7,000 gas stations.

I am now convinced that earlier DST combined with a measureable reduction in the use of manual typewriters both here and in the US will result in the major oil companies having to raise the price of fuel just to avoid going out of business!!

That's better than the fingernail hitting the wrong key at the stock exchange.
How long since you saw a manual typewriter?

Gas hit $2.61/USgal. here this past weekend. It was race weekend here in Sebring and prices always go up then. Plus Highlands county is usually the highest county. I seen to be able to smell out the highest prices.

But how do you decide to stop at the place with a higher price than the one before or the one after?

I don't hunt for the one that is 1/10 of a cent less. If I need gas I get it at the closest one I can get into with the rig and car in tow. The money saved by getting the lowest price is an illusion, I don't think one saves all that much. Then you go and spend it on something else anyway. I think it was Jimmy Durante ?? that said what you save on the tomatoes you spend on the cabbage. In the long run it makes little difference to anything.
