Has anyone had success at programming their Bell ExpressVu Remote for controlling the use of their VCR/DVD Combo unit? I am paricullary interested in programming my remote for my VCR/DVD Combo Sony Model AVD-K600P. So if you have been successful, I would appreciate if you could tell me the codes.
Regards,

Hi Gaetan, there is way for the hand held remote to "read" the code from the VCR/DVD player itself. Sorry I can remember it off hand but it is in the remotes instruction manual. I'll look and see if I can find it.

I have the Bell ExpressVu manual but I could not make sense of the instructions for reading the codes.

I'll try, maybe I can help. I did mine successfully and my brother in laws. Go to page 3-13 "Device Codes for programming the remote". Look up Sony under VCR's and it lists the code numbers that apply. There are 6 different codes listed, try them one at a time until it works. For DVD's it is in the next column over, only one number 617. If none of these work, and I have had that happen, go to page 3-11. At the bottom of the page it tells you how to determine the code using the remote. The book is in French also. Use the same page numbers but coming from the French side of the manual. The manual also admits that not all device's can be coded in. In that case you are just plain out of luck, I have had that happen also. Good luck and hope this helps some.

Novi,
Thank you for all your help but I have not had any luck with scanning for the codes or programming from the Sony numbers.
