Any thoughts on the Val-Cartier campground in Quebec. The website looks very nice but haven't seen any reviews on it. Hoping someone has stayed there or knows of it!!! Thanks!!

Don't feel too bad Big Kid, many have gone south and are not available for info. It's years since I was up Quebec way and I can't be of any help either. Give it a bit more time and somebody should jump in.

Hello,

I was there a few years ago. The place is nice and well kept. It is just a few tears old and is about 15-20 minutes from Old Quebec City.

Hope this helps some....Brad

Hello from Florida,
We will be going "north" to Montreal and Quebec this summer. We LOVE the Canadian provincial and national parks. Any suggestions for places to stay??
We will be coming from Michigan.

2 Years ago we went to the Maritime Provences and Newfoundland and loved every minute of it.

Merci!!

We'll be traveling sometime in early August.
Do you really expect for me to have a schedule??? Not having a fixed schedule is what RVing is all about!!!
It is tooooo hot in Florida, the kids/grandkids are up north and we have time to play!! This is the first time we do not have a specific trip planned for the summer. We did the west coast last year. So we are open to suggestions..
Thanks for the tip on Quebec. How about Montreal?? any special campings????

Quebec has a two week period when all of the construction industry goes on holiday. It is the last two weeks of July.

You may find situations where it's hard to get into a campground. I don't see that anyone has given you any links.

Quebec Tourism: http://www.bonjourquebec.com/qc-en/accueil0.html
- Quebec ˜national' (provincial) parks: http://www.bonjourquebec.com/ca-en/parcs0.html
- Private campgrounds included here: http://www.campingquebec.com/indexeng.shtml .
-Quebec Ferries: http://www.traversiers.gouv.qc.ca/ Are a good way to traverse the St. Lawrence River.

I believe the holiday, known as the Construction Holiday is the last two full weeks of July, not August.

I don't know why I typed that incorrectly, but I know it's July. I was in Quebec at the end of July and beginning of August last year and it didn't get much less busy in the August stretch.
