Aside from online sources and Canadian Tire & Wally World or your rv dealer (if you have one), where do you go for RV supplies on this side of the border?
It seems to me that some go to Home Depot for stuff. IIRC and they do, what rv stuff would you look for at Home Depot?

Dealer, C.T.C., WalMart, Ebay, Hensley Manufacturing or the new Camping World (just down the road in Hamburg NY), but not necessarily in that order!
I have not used Home Depot but that isn't a bad idea when it comes to any future modifications or emergency road side repairs.

Have found some stuff at Walmart and Canadian Tire. Zellers is also a good spot for plastic containers, etc. for storage. Don't forget to stop in at Princess Auto if you have one or else look over their catalog. They sell quite a bit of stuff in their surplus section but watch for quality.
I havn't looked in Home Depot but it kind of intrigues me now that it has been brought up. If I find anything there I will let you know. I'm not planning on any reno's to the trailer as yet .

RV electrical (at least 30 amp) boxes, ends and wire are available at HD. Also they had 8 litre (2 gal ) jugs of RV antifreeze last week. I have not seen any other RV specific items there and sadly have been a regular visitor for the last 3yrs spending large amounts of $. 2 houses built in 3 years is excessive...but at least I don't have time to get too fat!!

1. A security camera so you can watch the neighbours.* 2. Mr. Clean Magic Erasers for cleaning the awning. 3. Rope lights. 4. Work gloves 5. Cord/rope. 6. Batteries 7. Fire extinguisher. 8. Plumbing supplies like teflon tape and washers. 9. Gorilla glue or similar caulk. 10. Wood to make my own stove top cover, table extension, etc. 11. Vinyl flooring. 12. Plywood. 13. Plumb bob & spirit level.* 14. Plaster of Paris 15. Self-tapping screws. None of these are RV specific but because all of these things are in one place instead some here and some there, that's why I buy them at Home Depot. * = jokes. (Not serious.)

Groveite & j_m, that's kind of what I thought Home Depot should be useful for. The just opened up a store in St. John's, some 7 hours from me.
j_m, I really like the idea of that camera.(OJ) You must tell us what you see through yours - post about 31 juicy, gossipy tales and you will cease to be 'junior'.

How could I forget the kids favourite camping store!
Dollarama - $4.00 to $5.00 a kid and let them buy some crafts before each trip and if the weather doesn't cooperate then crafts or Sega and they are quiet which makes for 6 happy campers!

Hello LK. I'm not buying one for two reasons. The first is that with my computer, monitor, scanner, printer, sound system and external HD, I'm getting pretty sick and tired of wires. A security camera requires all that plus electrical hook-up. No thanks. Secondly, after checking out the ones on sale at HD, I discovered they have a narrow field of view. If I bought one for home use and attached it to the front path light post, it would not cover side-to-side; one door would be out of sight. So, no salacious stories about what camping neighbours will have been up to.

Sounds hideously expensive.
Frankly, I think I have the best security system going - great on anti-theft, anti-harrassment, no wild animal invasions, visitor alert. But no tell tales on neighboring campers, either.
The two parts of the security system go woof. Best rv supplies one can get. Not from Home Depot either.
So, what else am I going to use to get you number of posts up to 50 j_m?

I didn't edit very well. I wouldn't need all the computer stuff for the security camera. I was just griping about something else that would need wires and electricity which is exactly the kind of thing I *don't* want when I go camping. I should add that the small 13" TV we bought for the trailer never made it into the trailer this year. It is pretty much a fixture in the bedroom where we watch it using binoculars.
