It is supposed to get above freezing this weekend but not exactly planting weather Brad! I am hoping that this storm that is forecast for next week will be the end of it here but....travelling 2nd week of March may be a bit of a challenge as I think the March break is early this year....there was a time when I knew EXACTLY when it was but not so much now. I'll check with my daughter....3rd generation in education....slow learners we are!

I just missed the dead line Ian. It must be spring here now (84F again today ),the little lizards are coming out of the woodwork. The campground is becoming more populated with campers every weekend, and me with NO radishes.

although it is the dry season here in Florida we have seen more rain this year than in the last 4 years. It is still quite dry though and water level are still low. 86F here today.

Brad are you staying at Mustang island SP? Free fishing there IIRC and a great beach. We stayed there twice but last time it was so cold and rainy we ended up heading E to Fla. Love the little ferry to Port Aransas....dolphin tour...!!

We are Ian. For five nights. We also stayed there last winter for a few days, did the USS Lex. tour, etc. If I remember correct it was kinda cool and damp as well. The forecast for Corpus is supposed to be 70F+ for the next while so maybe we'll hit it just right. Will be returning to Canyon Lake, before heading home the 14th/Mar.????

Lady Lex is a great tour especially if you are lucky enough to be able to chat with some of the vets that donate their time on occasion and can really fill in a lot of anecdotal information that is soon to be lost! We will go again next time we are down there.

Saw the Lex on the way by Ian. Back at our home base in Canyon Lake after five days in Corpus Christi. I wasn't much threat to the fish, but not for lack of trying.

Brad ..
I hope we can rely on you to bring some of that nice Tx weather back with you....Another storm just blew through here and the snowblower is heading out this am...AND the Detroit forecast called for another Friday night! This is tiresome at least. We are looking towards Charleston area after easter for a couple of weeks to recover from the shovelling!

I"ve been watching the forecasts Ian, and just can't believe whats happening there. Not 10 minutes ago I mentioned to D/W......this stuffs gotta be gone in 10-15 days or we may be coming home to re-winterize the 5er, and have to drive into that slop!
Insidently...there has been five new groups of Canadians come in to this park recently, with more coming today. Canadians seem to be getting away from the mess in droves.....
