Brad, it would be interesting to see "Baby's" picture. Could you 'borrow' one and take it to the Barrie Public Library, scan it and either post it or e-mail it as an attachment to me, please.
I am tempted to think they are of the 'bigger is better school'. There is one in the Chessie bunch too. CKC and AKC standards say the male chessie is not to go over 75 lbs., yet I've seen pictures of award winning males of 90 and 100 lbs. & of the two male chessie I've had one went 90 lbs, the other 100 lbs. That is some difference to 75 lbs.
My 'two little girls' are above standard size @ 70 lbs too.

LK, couldn't get a pic of the mutt, neighbours weren't home. I am now at home..so may be able to get a pic at a later date. Son and D/L aren't real fond of the neighbours, due to the fact owner has some problems controling said mutt. A mutt that size NEEDS to be kept under control.

So, you're back down 'south' again are you? & is it more spring like there, than up where the white stuff comes from the lake?

Sure am Kopit. Far less snow here than "up North" Just as cold here though, oh well the trip to see the grand baby was well worth it.

Spring has sprung...
Temps: UP.
Gas: UP
Hydro-Québec: UP
X-C Ski: Gettin' Ready to DOWN.
Camper: SMILING.
Resumé: 4' snow in backyard, bright and windy days and look at all that money I saved by not going south this winter! (Leaving Easter week).

I am working in Northern BC just off the Alaska highway, and spring has definatly NOT sprung up here. The days are getting longer though, it's nice to think about.
Cheers

It got up to -10 today. Last night got -28. We are supose to get warmer starting tomorrow, but I don't care. I am flying home tomorrow for some days off, it was +10 there today. I will probably only get another couple of weeks after that before break up. I got to get my 5er out of here befor it gets to muddy, the sun is getting some power.
Cheers

How long do roads usually stay muddy?
? Signs of spring there = muddy roads, maybe?
When is sunrise? When is sunset?
Here that's 6:55 and 18:12.

Bearman,
Those are my temps! I thrive on anything that keeps snow on the ground, but I can make an exception when it is time to go camping.

The roads usually stay muddy for about 6 weeks (my play time). Sighns of spring include bear tracks and LOTS of mud. Sun rise @ 06:45 sunset 19:30 hrs. It's not that bad up here. I live in my work trailer a 99 Alpinlite Shorecliff 36 ft triple slide that i seriously modified for cold weather (survived -45c this winter). When the roads are good I stay out on location (I am in the oil patch)when they turn to crap I pull to either Dawson Creek or Fort St.John
Cheers

Bearman, have you noticed that on the first page of this thread rockman said it was just about time to quit camping. Their idea of camping season is winter!!!
When do you usually find the snow is gone? For us it is usually April, mid to late April.

Ya, I saw that, but I don't call this camping because it aint much fun. Usually by the end of April or the first part of May the snow is all gone here, except for higher elevations. My wife is from the rock, one of these summers we are going to head that way with the trailer.
Cheers
