Hey Jennifer...I'm just glad to see so many Canadian teams in the running. While Calgary did such a fantastic job last year, I would like to see them in the playoffs with Ottawa.

Too bad indeed. Flames just didn't have enough of what they needed.

Brad, we were introduced to curling when we lived in Canada. Watching slow paint dry was exciting when compared to curling...in my opinion.

Good luck with your hockey teams...

Brad: The scottish contingent here in Canada would have you believe they invented the game, but, I have it on good authority that it was originally conceived by bootleggers catering to people who found it easy to have a case of their favourite brew "slid" across the ice to their location on the "other" side (so-to-speak) and the folks who were the most accurate at hitting their target "way over there" were the ones who got the most orders! Haaar.

It has been my long-held opinion that had the game of curling stuck to it's original roots of supplying a necessary item to other-wise deprived individuals, it would have a far greater following today than it enjoys at present watching teams slide chunks of granite to-and-fro.

If you didn't watch this years Olympic Gold Medal Round, you just don't know what your missing.

{{{Ken just in case you've forgotten, it was the Brad Gushue Rink from Newfoundland and Labrador which won that Gold Medal. http://www.cbc.ca/olympics/athletes/...ad_gushue.html
Well over 1/2 the province shut down for that match!!}}
