Well, at this time of year, things seem to be winding down. Camping and travel takes a back seat to other activities..(at my house, anyway)

Whats on your Fall agenda? I know I'm in the process of cutting fire wood for winter. We also listed our home with a Realty agent. Our family has left the nest, and now seems like a good time to down size.

How do you prepare for Fall..........

we are the opposite.
our garden is slowing down and the camper activity is picking up speed.
haven't camped since last may, can't wait for the snow to come.
spent all summer making small improvements/repairs to truck and camper, now it's ready for another season.
I even waxed the entire truck and camper, took four hours.
now I need a vacation, hopefully my arms are not too stiff to fly cast.

Well Brad,

Isn't fall a slow time to try to flog your house? Have you got a new place picked out? What are the grounds like? Hey man, you're lots younger than me, even if you managed to retire already!!! You can get a place with space.

It's only summer. Camper is still on. I can still go. I intend to enjoy it!!! {{{{if the rain ever stops }}}

Going to advertise the house for eight weeks only. Later than that would have us moving elsewhere in the snow. With all the variables involved, may not happen anyway. We will be going to a small yard from our 1.4 acre yard now. Too much work, not enough vacation so a down size is in order. The new place is on a huge lot in a new mainly retires subdivision.
Anyway, very warm and dry here today, gotta get back to that fire wood...

Hello Brad, I tried a friends buffer once, made a mess of the waxing job, it couldn't get into all the nooks and crannies, was also quite a handful standing up an 8 foot ladder.
My better half suggested I practice more often by scrubbing the kitchen floor, bathtub, windows...

You never know how much snow mother nature is going to throw at you. So far I have found anything less than 2 feet is manageable. More than that you end up plowing and eventually it will impede further foward movement. Tire chains are a must, I have "V" bar type chains where a half link is welded facing out from each link that crosses the tire tread. Put these on every tire, they work well. Only bad thing I have found is when you get stuck with chains on you are really stuck.

We have left early on several occasions when the weather threatened to immobilize us or avalanche the route out.

LOL rockman, sounds like your wife wants your RV to look its very best.

Ive never tried winter camping. Our 5er isn't closed in or insulated for winter use. I kinda like staying home and throwing more wood in the stove though.
