Boy, you people wander all over the place and we "get onto" today's kids who don't seem to be able to focus on one thing long enough to learn anything. We saw the first hybrids (Trail-Lite Bantam B17s) at the Toronto RV Show Feb. or March, 1998 and were exactly what we were looking for. We bought one a little while later at Ruston RV in Burlington, ON., and have had nothing but very good service from them. Their patience was stretched thin a couple of years ago when we had to replace the crapped-out-on-Saskatchewan-roads axle; neither ALKO (axle manufacturer) nor Trail-Lite had the axle on record. Consequently, it took three fittings (first two axles were the wrong ones) then some detective work by Ruston to get the third and right axle shipped up and installed. They have also done all our brake and bearings work plus assorted fixings over the years and we've never had a problem with anything they've worked on.

I almost bought from Rustons in Burlington. Seemed like a good dealership. I was concerned with warranty work, living so far from the dealership.I was looking at the Trail Lite fiver, and if it had more counter space we would have had one regardless.
Does your unit have the Dexter torsion suspension...a real good system,..I think.
Any way good to hear you got things sorted....Brad

Hmmm, well, it's a thread regarding dealerships and wanders off into plumbing, air locks and the like. As for the axle, ours is an ALKO which I would switched over to a Dexter during replacement had it been possible. Should we buy another trailer, it will *have* to have a Dexter axle. That won't be negotiable.

Well johny_maple, being a small group here we're kinda "layed-back". We don't really get up set if things are a bit off topic. Most of us have "spoken" many, many times and this dosen't bother us.

Johnny_Maple......this is our way of doing the chat room thing in real time slow motion...you know what happens in there...cant get a decent conversation going and then when you do, the topic changes and you are lost again.. doing it in the forum we can go at our own pace, type at our own speed and think constuctively about an answer(not that we are slow typers slow witted or slow thinkers or anything like that)
