Albuquerque
We will be in Albuquerque NM 3/27 & 28th, Santa Fe 3/29 looking at real estate for the most part along I 25. The current plan is to move to a Santa Fe area site for the third night. Questions:
* best sites ?
* better to just stay at one sites for all three nights?
I do not know the area. Need a 60' drive thru.
thanks....

I don't like setting up, then breaking down camp to move a few miles. That said Santa Fe is a really nice town and worth staying at for the three days. Albuquerque is only about 30 miles away. If it were me I'd stay in one place.
This link will show a few that are there.

Stay in one central as possible base camp. Travel out from there. IMHO.

At exit 252 N. of ABQ is the Hollywood Casino. They have water & Elect for $10 a night. Long pull throughs and a dump station. If you will be in the Toad all-day, why not, it's about 1/2 way?

Albuquerque is about 65 miles from Santa Fe. I-25 is an easy drive between them, should you decide to stay in one place and then drive the toad.
The Hollywood Casino is located in Bernalillo, 18 miles north of ABQ, just off I-25. Never stayed there, but here's a link:
San Felipe Casino Hollywood
Hope that helps.

Hot Springs north of Santa Fe
Lived in Northern New Mexico for about 20 years. An hour north of Santa Fe is Las Vegas, New Mexico. Small town, you could probably ask a local. But, if you can find Hot Springs Blvd., drive past the State Hospital about 4-5 miles. There may be a sign that says' "Montezuma." As the road curves you'll see a castle, yes really. You can park along the road, the springs are on the right side. They're maintained by locals, the first Saturday of the month. If you go just before that they'll probably be kind of mossy. But, they are truly awesome. The river is great to cool off. Don't know if that's your thing. I will say, seeing a castle in New Mexico is a trip! Use to see it from my house half mile up the road. The springs are free to the public.
Have a great trip.
