I can guarantee that you'll find friends if you stay on the forum. For reasons I'm sure you can understand many/most of us can be hesitant with people that are new to the forum.

Welcome to the family!

Fill out your profile and give us some time to get to know you. I will be in the Phoenix area after the Quartzite gathering in Jan. We will probably stay at Cottonwood Resort. Perhaps you will join us at the Quartzite gathering. It is a really big RV party ! Right now Phoenix is not a nice place for a motor homer due to the oppressive heat. I don't see how you can fulltime there right now.

Not in the area at this time. Scottsdale is way too hot.

Wondering myself if there's any central valley CA members around. CA still has another month or so of warm weather, but by October the days will be like Hawaii with cool nights. My favorite time of year. Hope you find some locals to travel with.

Hi there,

My wife and I are newbies to the forum but have been MHing for about 14 years. Just swapped out the old Class C for a 2005 Winnie Voyage. We went up to Pincrest Lake for the weekend to test everything out.

Hope to see you around the State and the forum.

Hi James & Julie. We're close to you in the Modesto area. We also go out at least once a month. What are your favorite places to camp? Ever been to Eastwood Lake or East something and Millerton Lake?

JMZMUR,

The lake just east of Madera/chowchilla is Eastman and we go there and to millerton. They are both good parks but only November - April as it gets hot the rest of the year.

We went to Pinecrest Lake a week ago for our first shakedown on the new rig and spent time working on it a little and then hiked around the lake. We are heading to Disneyland for 3 days the beginning of december.

Good to hear if others around the area.

Until next time.

JamesnJulie

Hi Hal and Mary. Last year we went to a wedding in Yosemite and looked at a few places along the highway on the way. Most that we saw were nothing I would stay at. Can you recommend places in and around Oakhurst to stay? We did Bass Lake once, but it was not by the lake and the dirt road getting there was unreal. Fishing was good, but that's about it.
