I'm a writer for RV Living magazine (published by Rodale), and am hoping someone here can help me! I'm looking for an RV'er who has visited Safari West animal park in Santa Rosa, who could give me a few comments for an article I'm doing on American safari-style parks (Jan./Feb. 2007 issue). I would just need a few minutes of your time by phone, or even a quick e-mail would be fine. If you or anyone you know would be interested in talking to me in the next few days, please let me know how to contact you. Thank you!

It is probably too late, but I have been to Safari West with my kids. email me for phone # if you still want to talk. This is my experience:
First of all, it depends on your guide as to the experience. Our guide was great, but the other group got in way earlier. Sitting on top of the jeep is great as long as you don't want to hear the guide. We expected so much more for the price. Had we known ahead, we would have gone to the beach for the day for free! The price is way too much for the average family, espcially during peak season. We expected more wild animals. We saw several types of giraffes in fenced in seperated areas. Then we went on to see lots of elk and elk family creatures. There were a couple of other animals on our short tour, including a couple of caged wild cats. There was a wild bird sanctuary that was pretty nice. I would have liked to stay in longer and learned more. Sorry so bleak but for the price, you can go to the zoo twice or for free on free days. Lots of great goodies in the store.

sorry it is not so wild.
Rhonda
