Dean, I have been to Burro Creek many, many years ago. I remember the creek and swimming holes and the fact that it was pretty desolate and hot. That being said, I was a teenager when I was there so I wasn't looking at it from the perspective of an RV'er. My only question would be does the creek still have water in it this time of year. 50 Miles up highway 93 is still hot hot hot desert. You can expect highs like Phoenix but cooler nights because there is no pavement/concrete to hold all the heat. It there is a number where you can call a ranger, I would try that and ask him about the creek. If I remember correctly, not much around except the creek and if it is dry..... ..well you get the picture

How would this be for winter camping? I have a Volvo 610 and being from the east (NY) have not boondocked. Will I abe able to visit this kind of area without 4 wheel drive? (Over the raod tractors are not the best off road vehicles.)

Any places an Eastern HAS to visit with limited western experience (been to the Grand Canyon and will return there!)?
