Being the owner of both an RV and a classic car, my DW & I would love to meet others who enjoy the same hobbies. Has anybody heard of a club that caters to both groups? Thanks!

Hello Craig. We also have a classic car, 1962 Impala SS, that we drag race. We tow the car with the MH and camp at the dragstrip. Since we mostly race a nostalgia events everyone has a classic of some type. It is great fun and walking around the pit area admiring the cars also includes discussing motorhomes and tours of each others coaches.

This is how we combine classic cars and motorhomes.

We tow around a 1979 VW 'Epilog Edition' (black on black conertible) It's a great car to tour in with the top down and we always get comments, "I used to have a VW", "wish I still had it". It doen't have many conveniences, no A/C and the heater doesn't work real well either but it's fun to drive and never breaks...just keeps going and going and going. What kind of car do you have Craig? If you see me around S Cal, give a honk.

Hi Paul,

Your SS must be in awesome shape. I don't think I could race my car....not that I don't like going fast, I'm just afraid I'd break something.

Hi Steve,

I have the '70 Dodge Challenger R/T shown below. I'll keep an eye out for your '79 Veedub convertible. There's nothing as reliable and easy to work on as an old bug! I don't tow my car, as it's totally stock looking and I don't want to alter the front end with a tow bracket, but I have often thought about how fun it would be to rent a car trailer and tow it around sometime.

Craig

Craig, nice R/T! What powertrain do you have in that? Hauling around a beautiful classic car is always fun, you get so many signs of approval

Here is a couple of pictures of our '62:

Hi everyone....Nice cars.

We're also into RVing and classic cars. I don't know of a club that caters to both hobbies however.

Here's our classic....1968 Camaro Z28.

Garbageman, I don't have a classic car but I do have a claasic pickup.

Your Impala is my favorite from that era. Two of my good friends have SS 409 Impalas. Both are convertibles, one is a 62 with a 400 hp 409 and the other is a 63 with a 340(?) hp 409. Both are show winning cars.

Here's our 1972 Ford F-250 pickup. It has 35,000 miles on it. I bought it from the original owner who I have know since before he bought it.

It is a Ranger XLT, Camper Special, 390, C-6, 4.10s

We use it to tow our vintage travel tailer. We park it for the winter and just use it for camping. We put about 2500 miles on it last year.

I wouldn't mind knowing if there was a vintage car show close either. I know there is one in Wendover NV on Fathers Day, but I don't think it involves "RVs".

I'm a little more Hotroddy than classic

I also have a 26 Tudor that I am working on. It will be more of a purest rod with a 302 or a 351C and a C6.
