Hi all
We are leaving for a trip to Oregon, Washington and elsewhere next week - what I would like to find out is where to stay along the way in California that we might not know of. We live in Fresno, CA and will be going on Highway 99 to Stockton, then on Highway 12 to Santa Rosa and North on 101 to Olympia and Seattle. Do any of you know of places that we might want to stay for the California part of the trip with those directions. Haven't traveled a lot and want to see all we can, we have tons of info for Oregon and Washington, but nothing really for the few days staying in CA along the way. Thanks for any info or help

Roy and Darlene,

Since you are going up 101, you need to spend at least 1 day in the Redwood National and State Parks. You can either stay in Cresent City and drive up into the Redwoods or take Hwy 199 and drive up to Jedadia (sp) Smith State Park campground. It is a beautiful place to visit, well worth a day of hiking around.

Are you planning to go to Crater Lake? I took my family around the U.S. back in the summer of 1998, and Crater Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in the U.S.

tThere are many many things to do in Oregon and Washington. We have a mission to visit all of the National Parks, Monuments, Sites, etc... in the U.S. and have visited many in those states. On your way back home to Fresno, you need to go to Lassen Volcanic National Park just east of Redding. It is another beautiful location. If you go there, stay at the Manzanita Lake Campground. You will really like it.

Have a great trip, Clark

R & D,

I forgot to tell you my little sister lives in West Clovis area. She and her husband own U.S. Tint in Fresno. May be by some small chance you might know them.

Hi Clark
Sorry, don't know the name. Sure someone in the family knows of their business or them, we have a big family here in Fresno.

Never mind...re-read the initial question. (Already left on trip).
