I'll gladly put your Region's Avatar on the Golden States Forum, what do y'all want it to be?

Sean,
Sounds like a great idea, let me know what y'all come up with.
Keep in mind that it'll work better if it's discernible when reduced to a 'thumbnail' size.

How 'bout a stack of gold and silver coins? I believe California is the "Golden State" and Nevada is the "Silver State". To be fair, it could be a stack of silver and gold coins.

Sallys Mom,

We could also do a Golden Poppy and a Slot Machine

Thanks, KCK-ASH! Actually thought of those also, but decided it wouldn't be equal - they have casinos-we have casinos - so $$$ seemed like a good choice!
BTW, checked you photos and would like to know where you were camped at the Parker Strip?

We have a time share a Emeral Cove on the CA side of Parker. It's with CRV, they have a number of them along the river. Nice place, full hookups with cable and internet, store, pool...
Haven't been there in a couple years, hope to get back there soon.

Well, I'd be willing to give up mine to be used for the Avatar...it fits both states and is easily discernible.......

I haven't heard if anyone wants to use the miner for the Avatar. I also have a couple others with the miner. One is with a gold nugget, but I think the panning is the best.
Let me know yea or no........

Hey 'Chief',
The miner (or a prospector) is cool!
He'd make a great mascot and even though there aren't any hard, fast rules regarding what to use, he's consistent with what's already started in the other regions, that being an animate object.
In all fairness, there were some other suggestions made that were lost in our recent technical glitch. Hopefully, they'll get resubmitted.

I always liked the miner.
the miner represents to me so much about what our area is all about,...
hard working, fun, rewarding, outdoors, exciting,
I made up a few of these banners a few months ago as just a quick-and-dirty effort, i smile whenever i see see miner striking it rich while in the boonies!!
Any better miner ideas, or any other better logo ideas of any kind,
this could be fun.!!
(the flamingo idea is NOT us, its a good one!!!!, but not us )
