Hi Dunerbill & Welcome!!!
Hopefully this will work. If not, select Photo's (top green bar) then in the search type Quartzsite and you'll get all of these photo's Search - iRV2.com RV Photo Gallery
Here are a couple of threads that may give you the info that you want:
MONACO's 2010 Quartzsite Gathering
Quartzsite 2010 Attendance List (iRV2 members)
If you put Quartzsite, in the thread search engine, you will get pages of results.
Hope this helps!

We've enjoyed Q-site several times - one of the things that simply amazes me is the number of people visiting there. If you are in a "hurry" this is not a place to go. There are a gazillion stores & shops and traffic & parking can be a real challenge. That said we do it every January for about two weeks.

To kind of follow up what Spikester said. On the escapees discussion forums on the subject of Q, one guy said about the tankers that hauled water and the septic pumpers, that unknown to him his wife called them for service and they charged him $100 for both services.

I have not, but I have seen several PU's set up to do that. Easier to move the truck than to move the MH. Looks like they use a macerator pump to fill a sewage tank in the bed of the truck, then gravity dump it at a dump station. For fresh water have seen the use of a blader, 50 gal blue water barrels, and a water tank. In the case of the water tank, the user had a water pump hooked to it, just pumped the water into his MH onboard tanks.
People are very creative with this, especially those that spend the entire season on BLM land.

I do 3 to 4 weeks a year up on my mountain property in Northern California. I do the fresh water by 55 gal blue drum. I fill it when down at the lodge. Then able to siphon it in to 5ver from the truck bed. When in transit there and back it rides in the 5ver. When I get there it is straped in the bed of the truck. Black and grey are not a problem. I am normally alone. And find a tree for one thing. And grey I dump into 5 gallon bucket and dump away from the rig. Also I normally bath in the pond on the property.

Keep in mind that it can get cold enough at night time to freeze hoses and heat is needed. Thaws back out during the day. never had any problem with the wind in the month I stayed (Jan/Feb)

In the LTVA's is there someone who will come by and pick up the fee or do you have to go into town and pay? How is dumping handled and how often? Is fresh water available anytime?
Thanks,
Larry

There's a small building at the entrance of the LTVA's in Q, where you pay and get your permit. As far as dumping, the dump station is open from 8 to 4 or to 5, every day. The dump station and fresh water are only available at the La Posa South, LTVA

Last January there was a pumper truck that came thru the area we were camped in. He charged $20 to pump. I remember paying $3 for water and $7 to dump at the RV stop in Quartzite, all self serve.

Any opinions on the quality of water in Q - both public and private..... some well water can taste pretty bad..... don't want to fill 100 gallons to find that out!!!!
