We are looking for a camp ground in Colorado where we could stay a month or two in a great area with many things to see and do.

Well here's the State of CO, you''l have to pick the town you want, then there's plenty of campground reviews to choose one you like:

Hi, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to put this on here (I apologize if I am not)... but, we own a small (but nice!) RV Park in Dolores, Colorado. Dolores River for great fishing across the street, McPhee Reservoir (2nd largest Colorado body of water) down the street for great boating, an hour drive from Telluride or Durango, beautiful mountain roads and passes if you take the loop around Silverton and Uray for a day trip... here's our website: www.cozycomfortrvpark.com. We do monthly rates, as well.
Have fun!
Brenda

Don't know what you are looking for in terms of "great things to do", but I have been full timing for the last couple of months at the Castle Rock campground which is about 25 miles south of Denver and at the foothills of the Rockies.
Lot's to do close by and near enough to the big city.
I work in Denver, so my needs may be different, but you were asking for opinions, right?
Juan

It is a gorgeous area with so much to do nearby! We love it. Cameo, contact me personally if you want to stay at our park, either by a personal mail through irv2, or on the "contact us" email on our website.
