And as another poster has said, it's a short walk to PB downtown.

BTW, on the way to Pismo we stopped for 2 nights at San Lorenzo County Park (off the Broadway exit) in King City. It is a great park with lots of space around each site and an awesome historical museum along the entrance into the park. Great hiking trails, if you like that. Safeway is within walking distance, too.

Travel safe and have fun.
Thanks for the info. I actually have stayed at San Lorenzo County Park. I agree, it's great.

As was mentioned, the park is generally wide open now through spring. And even the 'bad' spaces are just an extra minute or two from the beach.

Generally during the week there's little ranger presence; you just show up, park, and drop your payment in the dropbox. If you arrive at night, though, do keep an eye out that you don't use a handicapped space (it can be hard to spot the numbers but they are spaces with the concrete pads). Those spaces are free to everyone after 5pm, but only for the one night -- if you chose one at night and aren't disabled, you will have to move the next morning.

With your rig, though, you will fit into pretty much every single site there. With our 39' DP, we have to be a bit more careful.

Steve

If you come to Pismo Beach and want more amenities, you can't go wrong with Pismo Coast Village. We stayed for a week when we were having the inside of our house painted.
