I predict that the roads will be dry, unless it rains. Snow would be unlikely.

In answer to Florida Traveler's question, the road from Bryce Canyon (SR-12) is a good, wide "mountain" road. That means it is very scenic, wide enough for a motorhome or trailer, with several sharp turns and at least two 14% grades. The elevations vary from 9,500 ft to several hundred.

But, by all means take this route, and be sure to stop at Escalante State Park - hike the mountain and view the petrified forest. (Better than Arizona's Petrified Forest)

Do not under any circumstances take Cottonwood turnoff. I know that the maps indicate a road there but in actuality it is a "jeep" road. Cottonwood Creek is a dirt road all the way from RT89 to SR12. I have been over this road in a Pathfinder and wished that I had taller tires.
Right now the temps are in the 50's during the day and in single digits at night.
We normally have a snow pack of 160 inches and so far this year we have only 40 inches. It has been dry.
I read the rest of your post. July-August time frame. Expect warm temps in the day of 80+ and cools off down into the 40's at night. Weather will be dry.
There is a neat KOA that was featured in Trailer Life last year. Located in Henriville off SR12 if I remember right.

Thanks to Chet and Red T. The road I was asking about was the Cottonwood Creek road between SR 12 and 89. I will certainly take Chets answer and stay clear of that route. By the way, I have traveled SR 12 and it truly is a wonderfull, senic route. Thanks again, Art 2001 Winnebago Journey
