Hi there. Going to be spending a couple of weeks in the Four Corners area the first 2 weeks of Sep. Want to go across Trail Ridge Road from Granby to Estes Park. Would appreciate opinions and any info on whether a 28 ft Sightseer with the 8.1 liter engine would have any problems with the road grade and/or switchbacks on Trail Ridge Road. I will not be towing my toad on this trip. Been several years since I last went across there. Don't remember any places that will give me a problem, but......

Thanks.

We have been across there several times, but never in the MH. As I recall the grade is less steep coming from the west. Ought to be doable in a 28footer - if the traffic is too heavy behind you, you can pull over and let them by.

You going to drive back from the east to west or head up and around?

Doc-
Actually we will be coming from Arizona and heading east after crossing Trail Ridge Road. Back to Nashville.

Going west to vist friends, relatives, inlaws, outlaws, and hopefully make some new friends along the way.

Coming back through Colorado for the spectacular views that revitalize the soul.

It's a pull, but it's doable in your configuration. The biggest thing is that there aren't that many areas for you to pull over with that large of a vehicle. And there is some great scenery to see up there but you may have to just keep on driving by rather than be a huge roadblock to others. Having to pass some of that stuff up could be heartbreaking.
