I totally agree Scotty there are just so many things to see and if you are shooting pictures weather plays such a major factor 2-3 days just makes you rush to much

It's a great area to get a taste of and go back to explore more of!!

Utah is a VERY popular spring break destination for western Montana families to hit for their kids' spring break to go find some sunshine and play in the desert.

Hello, anyone out there?
Trying to nail down our trip in a couple weeks I failed to ask about fuel stops. I prefer truck stops where I can pull through. I will fuel in Albuquerque and travel up to Grand Canyon then on up to Mount Carmel and 89 up to 12 over to Bryce Canyon then over to Arches. Anyone have suggestions on fuel stops along this path easy for a 40' dp pulling toad?

There is a fuel stop outside of Bryce large enough. In fact it has a RV car wash too. There are plenty of places in Moab.

We stopped at a Sinclair gas station on 89 in Panguitch. They had plenty of room and a nice convenience store.

Hwy 89 does not pass through Moab. The only Sinclair near Moab that I can think of is at the intersection of Hwy 95 adn 191 just a little South of Blanding, UT.

It's a pretty small station so no so sure you could get in and out with a 40' rig and tow.

You're right. Corrected the town. It was Panguitch.

The outside (next to the street) pump lane has plenty of room. That's the one we used.

There is a Shell station south of Moab on 191 that is large enough. It is across the highway from Spanish Trail RV Park. We pulled our MADP through there, no problem.

Thanks for fuel info. Suggestions on the trip from Bryce Canyon over to Moab?

Do 12 or go around?

I would suggest 12 to Torrey. Check out Capital Reef NP while you are there. Then head over to Moab. There are a couple decent RV parks in Torrey. We stayed at Thousand Lakes.

That's what I was planning and 24 east from there up to I-70 then down to Moab! Just wanted to confirm with someone that knows that it's a wise route.

It's a route that you don't want to miss. 24 is slow through and to the east of Capital Reef. There are "rough road" signs after you leave the park and they mean it. No worries, just slow down and enjoy the scenery. I think I averaged about 40-45 on that stretch. Once you get to Hanksville and turn left, the road improves and your back up to normal speed. You will also pass Goblin Valley State Park. We didn't stop but i wish we had.
