Hi all, We are new to the forum and have a question about New Mexaco weather. We are having a rally in Az, where we live when were not on the road.Around mid-October we want to start our long awaited trip and want to stop somewhere in the Almogordo area and check out White Sands and the missle museum also maybe the Carsbad Caverns.I've been there but never stopped there and the DW has never stopped there or been to some of them at all. If its not too cold I'd like to check out Robert Goddards Ranch at Roswell. We won't want to leave before November 4th.I have heard that they get snow and thats not good for us as we used to live in Maine and W.Va. and Deb has a asthma and thats why we left there. We can handle the summers but the cold turns Deb Blue..Literally.I don't like hospitals and there not on the visit list! Also the motorhome is a older model and has no basement.Any ideas would help. From there were headed to Tx. and most of the I-10 route across the southern states. We have never taken the panhandle route at all, and this may be our last trip,we don't know.I had a accident three years ago and this is the first time we have had to go anywhere since the big bang!who knows, maybe we'll run into some of you out there. Thanks Dan and Deb

That time of year that far south it should still be reasonably warm. It uaually does not get real cold until after Thanksgiving Day. As for snow, a storm in the mountains may bring some to Ridoiso but not likely in flats that time of year.

Hi Don, And thanks for the heads up. I was beginning to think I was all alone down here on the bottom of the page.We are leaving the 8th of october to go to the FMCA Rocky Mountain Ramble and should leave the 15th or 16th to go into N.M. We have been there in the April- May time but never in the late fall.In November we are heading to San Antonio,Texas.I.ve been wanting to travel all the Gulf states in the winter months and we are doing it this year.
Thanks again for the info and have a good day!

You should find the weather about the same as April/May, maybe a little less wind in the fall but about the same temps.

Thanks everyone for the info,But as things go we won't be able to go now till around Feb/March.We had to make a emergency trip to a funeral and were in Maine till next week so everyone on the East coast wants to see us.If we get back by October and I can get the weather to help speed things on,we might get there by christmas,But I'm not holding my breath with the weather.I still got some things to finish before we go.Lots to do,Not enough time to do them.
