Crater Lake here we come!!

Our family is heading down to Crater Lake tomorrow staying at Mazuma campground. Never been and I am concerned about the drive. We will be pretty much maxed on our towing capacity if we fill our tank. I know there aren't any hookups but is there a place there to fill up at the campsite?

Also, we want to head out and overnight in a parking lot or someplace similar in Eugene so we just have a short distance the following day, any suggestions?

Thanks for any advice in advance!

there is a cabalas in river gate mall, right along E. side I-5. take beltline rd E exit, then take first light to your right. go down about 3/4 mile, take a right, go around behind mall and cabelas is on the back side beside I-5.

River Valley Mall in Eugene offers overnight RV camping. You need to check in with Mall Security and they will tell you were to park. Armitage County Park on Coburg road is also pretty nice. There are bathrooms but it didn't use to have showers and was pretty inexpensive.

Update. We were kicked out of the Cabela's but there was a nice Super Walmart in Springfield about 12 minutes away. There were lots of overnighters and it felt safe and clean.

Oh it was awesome. The ground has a layer of volcanic ash so you get a little dirty. The view is spectacular and the sunset was one of a kind. There was construction on the rim road and think it's still ongoing so you might get stuck for a bit and depending on the location, it could be a bit nerve racking. The sites are pretty generous for a national park. No water hookups but there is a water fill station and a dump there for free. A couple sites did have electricity, just ask when you get there and they can move you. A little general store for things you might forget. You're will love it!
