I'm planning a trip down part of the Oregon coast (US hywy-101) to San Francisco, Ca. with the cut over from I- 5 at Eugene. I would like to take on diesel every 300 miles. Does anyone know of big rig friendly fueling places?

Dave & Colleen...
Do you belong to Pacific Pride or any of those types of private fuel stations and will you be towing?

Sorry......So being newbees having just been out 4 times with our coach we're still purchasing trailer directories, maps and did sign for a Flying J card. I just received the next exit map book but its only good for the interstates.

If you go to the websites of Shell, Chevron and Phillips 76, dial up CA, you can find service stations that sell diesel.

You know Hi 1 is twisty, curvy and you will have to pull over to let 5 cars piled up behind you, go by....don't you. State law.

There are diesel pumps well within your 300 mile range. I don't see any problems for you, EXCEPT look closely at the roof height. Usually they will tell you in feet and inches, how tall.

And your roof height including A/C or satellite dish is............?

Another thing you can do is use the addresses of the locations and look at it using "Google Earth" which you can download for free at that link (green button on top right side)
...and I am sure you will get some more info!

Since 101 passes through many communities, it will not be difficult to find diesel fuel the entire length of the Oregon Coast. If you have a GPS unit that tags fuel stations, you will find it helpful.
