Ever want company?

Dangerous thought!
Wondering how a thread would work for camping company?
Just a quick note on a thread like "going to somewhere this weekend, will be in green Winni".
The idea to put an invitation to come by the fire, come by with your bicycle, jeep, whatever to meet new campers, maybe conversation as th Sun sets.
We meet so many neat people when we are out and about this could be a way to meet the Washington group.

That sounds good, for those that want it. Could start it right here in this topic. See if it goes anywhere.

That's often how we get together in our region. Just post your whereabouts with an open invitation to join in.

Sounds good, every time we meet someone in a CG I always ask them if they use IRV2. Most of them don't even know what it is. We have yet to meet someone who admits to posting on IRV2, even if they know about it. I would like to meet others who frequent IRV2 in person, I think that would be fun.

Len,

I would go for it! Basically that is how we organized get togethers for the West Coast Kappa Car Club using the Solstice and Saturn Sky forums. You really don't have anything to loose. If the people who respond are like those in the car club, they should have a lot in common with yourself. I know we certainly had a great group!

Go for it!

I'll post when I get to go somewhere. Right now I'm dealing with a Grandmom not seeing her only Granddaughter for 3 months. We were out 80 days to Texas and back.

I would stop by for a brew if I weren't about 14 hours south of you! Sitting by the fire b.s.ing sounds sort'a good right now....doing the 8-5 for about two more months.

Hope the fire is warm and the brew plentiful.

Have a great time

Wish we could take some of the invites up. Just not going to happen this year! DW's health won't allow it.

Another RV builder specific forum has a feature where users can put in their location on a map. Participating individuals location is posted under their avatar. The format is this:

"We are here: XXXX XXXX Resort, Site #13"

If you click on the link you are taken to a map that shows all the other members in the region.

I think it is really pretty cool. Whether or not one actually contacts the other party it is nice to know that compatriots are around.

We met a couple fellows from the forum. Worked out very well from our point of view. Will be seeing them again in the fall.
