Labor Day Camp Ground Closings

Hope I am in the right forum. We will be headed to North Dakota and Montana next month (August 26, 2019)from about Labor Day for 4-6 weeks.
My concern is if campgrounds there close at Labor Day, and how residents of those states feel about the weather and early snowfalls, blizzards, etc., that time of year?
Thanks for your insight!

Mostly not. We've traveled from Washington east and back starting after Labor Day and returning mid to late October. The only place we had trouble finding a campground because of fall closures was the northeast. Campgrounds start to close mid Sept around Yellowstone, but we've always been able to find a spot in Montanna and North Dakota into October.

I have found some remote campgrounds closing at the of September and many more closing at the end of October if they are in the snow belt. We usually limit our mountain travel between November and March unless we are planning for snow activities.
