Anyone stayed at the new LL Stub Stewart State Park near Vernonia Oregon yet? First new state park to be built in Oregon in like 35 years. Thinking about possibly checking it out this weekend, but was hoping to get some feedback from other prior.

Thanks,

Drove through it a few weeks back. Seems nice, but really wide open yet. Only one loop is opne at this time. But all will have full hookups and 50 amp service, so it should get a lot of use during the summer.

Depends on what your looking for. It's more like an RV park without cable TV than camping at a state park. Not much to do in the immediate area but it is a good perimeter jump off point for Portland metro with downtown only 40 minutes away.

No word yet how it faired in the recent storm/floods. The nearest town, Vernonia 5 miles north on route 47, was inundated and probably will not have fully recovered by this summer.
