Old Man Winter Holding On

Although there's only 5 days before spring, old man Winter is still holding fast - it's currently snowing here in Kitsap County/Hood Canal area. It's about 3-4" of the white stuff and it' s still coming down. I don't know about the rest of the people here but I'm getting tired of this "oddball" weather. Last weekend, we were camping at Ft. Worden, it snowed Sunday morning. Wish I (we) could have stayed longer in Yuma and still enjoy that warm, sunny weather. But circumstances beyond our control (partially) would only allow us a month stay over there. Can't wait for DW retirement.

Would you please let me know when it's safe to come home? We're still in Vegas. It's supposed to be in the mid 80's this week. Sure glad I'm retired and no longer tied down

Finhawk: Better stay put and enjoy the 80's. We had to cancel our camping this weekend (again) at Ft. Worden since the weather predictions are still winter-like; rain/snow at times, cold, etc. Per our dependable Ch.5 weatherpersons, we won't see spring-like weather till maybe next month. So depressing!!! Wish DW is retired, too since I am. Then we'll be where it's warm.

We couldn't take it any longer and bailed out of Oregon for Southern Nevada. As Finhawk said temps forcast in the 80s. It sure is nice to be warm again. I may even break out my shorts today.

We have to be back this weekend... Not looking forward to the weather there on Kitsap / Hood Canal... we have made it as far as Eugene and now I had to store or my Hawaiian shirts and put on the heavy clothes...
