We are trying to put a trip together to visit the Olympic Peninsula in May and was wondering if there was a lot to see and was it worth the time to drive up from Southern California. Any thoughts or information would be very much appreciated.

So much to see it is hard to put it into words.. I been around the Peninsula many times and there is always something new to see. Month of May might not be the best weather but there will be less traffic. I live nearby in SW Washington. If I could be of help, feel free to call. 360.942.2256

We're headed up there too for about a month in June-July time frame. I want to tour the Boeing factory for sure and explore the whole area including Victoria.

We'll return using highway 101 which will be cooler and then we will have traveled the entire length of it.

Just came from Port Townsend a couple of weeks ago. First time I've been up there and decided that will definitely be worth a trip back. Lots of character.

It sounds like it is a worthwhile place to sightsee.

In regards to the hot springs on the west side, I can't recall the name but it is really great stop.

Hi. We are heading there to for the month of June starting at Port Angeles and finishing up at Cape Dissapointment before heading back east to Calgary looking forward to the trip sound like a great area to visit. Will have a 40' MH any advise for travel on the 101?.

A must stop is Salt Creek Rec Area, a Clallam County Park with RV sites. The very BEST View on the entire Strait (narrowest point between Vancouver Island & the mainland). Only about 15 miles from Port Angeles & the Coho Ferry to Victoria for day trips. I only live 4 miles from Salt Creek.

Thank you JohnQ we will make Salt Creek our first stop. Looking foreword to spending a bit of time on the peninsula before going to the Tiffin rally at Castle Rock.

The VERY BEST dining facility in Port Angeles is the Wildfire/Woodfire Grill up on west 8th street!!!! Your A-Tar/Pretty Dawg seems to be a Kissin Kousin to our Catahoula Missi Blue, . . .

You may need reservations at Salt Creek. They take them only by mail the last I checked. As I recall, toy need two weeks in advance.

It is a great spot for a few nights because you can get to Hurricane Ridge, Cape Flattery, and other must see spots from there.
