Overnight Parking ideas

This will be our second trip south through Washington, Oregon, and into Palm Desert, California.
We like to stick fairly close to I-5 and ideally travel about 5 - 7 hours per day.
Any ideas for free or nearly free overnight parking enroute?

I'm an east coaster... but we frequent Cracker Barrels, Cabelas, and Flying Js while traveling to a destination... Cracker Barrel has a map which tells which ones have RV parking. I've only done Walmart once. Hope this helps

If you have a smart phone download the Walmart app. It show all there locations & includes maps. There also is another app that will tell you which Walmart RV's are allowed to park in. I think its $5.99.

In Oregon we have overnighted several times at the Camping World in Wilsonville just south of Portland. Also at exit 99 Seven Feathers Casino has a free RV parking area next to the casino (They also have a very nice RV park)
The first rest area into CA from Oregon on I-5 is also a good stopping spot right on the Klamath River.
Yreka, Ca has a Walmart and they apparently allow overnight parking.
Safe Travels

Thanks for the replies. We will take a look at some of those ideas. Getting cold here in south west BC and we are eagerly awaiting our southern departure in a couple of weeks.

allstays.com has a wealth of info from hotels to rest stops. Click on road guides and it will list stores and truck stops
