Sammamish, my wife retired in December and I'm retiring at the end of May. Lots of trips planned especially warm ones in the winter.

Raised in Enumclaw, lived in Eugene, Or, moved to Bremerton, married DW (from Missouri), then Silverdale, and just sold S&B in Port Orchard (very South Kitsap County). Retired from Trident Submarine Facility after PSNS.
Now with grandkids in Bremerton and Virginia Beach, Virginia, we travel U.S. and Canada.

Welcome to the road

Hi
Our last S&B was in Sumner, WA, near Tacoma. Now we travel the western states with the grandchildren (and their parents) all in the Sacramento area. Are you working toward keeping WA as your domicile state? We flew into Seattle on Saturday for a week of checking in with our medical professionals. This is part of our plan to keep WA as our domicile state. We are wintering in southern CA in a great resort with other WA and many Canadians from BC and Victoria.

Check out Spring Ridge Estates, we made our home base there. Very unique place, we've been all over the country and never found anything like it.

Wink Ocean Park WA & Lost Lake RV Resort Olympia WA

We are full-timers. We own RV properties on the WA coast’s Long Beach Peninsula in Ocean Park and in the Lost Lake RV Resort near Olympia, where we just purchased a lot so that we will be close to our daughter and soon-to-be grandson who live in Tacoma. We plan to m spend about 6 months in WA between these two home base sites. We plan to rent out the Olympia site from Jan - Jun 2019 to someone working at nearby Joint Base Lewis McChord while we head south to see our son & grandsons and so some traveling in the southwest.

We are looking for a place to snowbird in Southern CA and have settled on the Escapees Jojoba Hills co-op near Temecula CA. Our son and his family live in LA and we want to spend about 4-6 months in CA near them. We are Thousand Trails members and have been using TT campgrounds, but none are close to our kids in Glendale.

Hi LuckyDucks.
I have been looking at lots that have come up for sale at Lost Lake Resort... how do you like it there? If you don’t mind, which lot did you purchase? We live up in the Marysville area and have been thinking about a lot at Lost Lake because it’s one of the few places where you can live year round... Thanks, Brian.

Brian - we bought a double lot #100 at 20 Sunset Drive. It is an empty canvas, but already has a nice level lot and two sheds. Our plan is to use it with our RV for a couple years and then buy a park model. Lost Lake is great! It’s so well maintained, lots are all well-kept and and it has nice facilities. The lake is beautiful, there is a nice clubhouse, swimming pool, spa, exercise room, pickleball, etc. The monthly HOA dues cover the water, garbage, common areas and cable TV. They also have low-cost Internet. It’s very safe & secure, the woods are beautiful and the people are really friendly. We just spent our first visit there and it was great. We are going to be gone from Jan-Jun and plan to rent out our lot. There are a lot of military personnel and traveling nurses who like to rent in Lost Lake

I have not found a place that compares to Point Hudson yet for the water views, including a great little town ya can just walk into. I just booked another 5 days there in late June for summer of 2019. Love that place.

Where In Washington Do you live.

Live in Renton Highlands. Retired from Pomona PD (southern Ca.). I avoid anything west of lake Washington...[Mod Edit] areas there. Coming from southern California I can honestly say there is nothing in the Seattle area that is remotely close to the prices they are calling for. Nothing.
