Full Timing, last lived in Sumner and most recently parked in Graham. Planning on relocating to Vancouver, Camas or Woodland when we are finished exploring the great western states.

Rode my bicycle in the pouring rain from Anacortes, up Mt Erie, and then out to Deception Pass Bridge a couple of Saturdays ago. Surprising me it was 23 miles but over 2600 ft of climb. Was fun though, might be the last long outdoor ride of the season. Had to recover with fish and chips at the Skagit River Brewery in Mt. Vernon!

Well, when I worked at the paper mill in the 60's you could smell the mill clear into Vancouver! They really cut back on the emissions since then.

My Dad used to term the sulfite smell of the paper mill as the "smell of money" as the wages paid by Crown Zellerbach Corp were well above other local hourly jobs at the time.
re retiring to the Vancouver or Woodland area, what would draw you to Woodland? We live nearby and are just curious. Lots of fishermen around here

I was told that the property tax in Cowlitz was better than Clark county, although I don't know how important that will be. We plan to park in the area in late March for several weeks to check out possibilities. Woodland (at least new the freeway) seems to be a nice small town and not too far from a larger metropolitan area (Vancouver/Portland). We want to stay in Washington, but closer to the southern border because of family and friends in Salem, Grants Pass and Sacramento. Can you recommend a nice park in the area? I know from driving thru there were several choices. We really like good WiFi / internet access.

Welcome to the fun and games. Are you new to RVing or just getting started with IRV2?

Both! We don't even have an RV yet! Don't tell anyone; we might get kicked out!
We are interested in a Class B diesel. The RoadTreks and Pleasure-Ways really appeal to us.
Thanks for the welcome.
